Swampscott Massachusetts is a beautiful quant town nestled along the coast of Boston's North Shore.  With only a 6.5 square mile radius, one may think this town isn't too happening but that couldn't be further from the truth!  Small in size but big at heart, Swampscott has more to offer than just its quiet suburban character and lovely beaches.  If you enjoy food, entertainment, night life, festivals, and water activities do not miss the excitement this summer. 1.  Swampscott Farmers Market

Where:  Swampscott Town Hall – 22 Monument Avenue, Swampscott, MA  
When: Every Sunday June 10 – October 1  


Every Sunday throughout the summer, the Swampscott Farmers Market offers a chance for local farmers, producers, crafters, and artisans to bring fresh produce and related products directly to the community.  The mission is to educate residents about healthy eating and maintaining a healthy environment while bringing the community together.  Eat local! 


2.  Live Music at Ocean Bar

Where: Mission on the Bay – 141 Humphrey Street, Swampscott, MA
When: All Summer Long

3.  Swampscott Arts & Crafts Festival

Where: Linscott Park – 17 Monument Avenue, Swampscott, MA
When: September 8 – 9


Head over to Linscott Park to enjoy Swampscott's 8th Annual Arts and Crafts Festival. Enjoy live music, browse homemade crafts, and sample a variety of culinary bites. Expect to see some amazing photography, jewelry, furniture, pottery, oil paintings and much more.


4.  4th of July Fireworks 

Where: Fishermans Beach, Swampscott, MA
When: July 3

Join the town of Swampscott as they celebrate the fourth of July in style. On Tuesday July 3rd head down to Fishermans Beach to view the Swampscott Fireworks. The show starts at dust (9:00 pm) but be sure to get there early to find the best spot!


5.  Paddle board glow tour

Where: Fishermans Beach
When: Weekends throughout Summer


Join Sup East Coast Style on Friday and Saturday nights for glow in the dark paddle boarding right on Fishermans Beach. Tickets are sold online or in store and private groups are welcomed as well. Tours can be scheduled on any night of the week as long as your group has a minimum of six people. Don’t miss out on the special Third of July Glow Tour where you can view the fireworks from the water on your paddle board!


6.  Goodnight Fatty

7.  Sunset Sail Salem

This summer hop aboard a classic New England Sail Boat for a sunset cruise along the beautiful coast of the North Shore. Sunset Sail Salem offers private sunrise, day, and sunset tours. Specialty trips include the Shipwreck Ghost Story Sail and a Lighthouse Photography Sail. Take a shot at raising the sail or take a turn at the helm. 8.  Salem Maritime Festival

This year is the 30th Annual Salem Maritime Festival. Head over to the Pickering Warf Marina to enjoy live music, entertainment, demonstrations, activities, arts and more! You'll have an opportunity to immerse yourself in Salem's rich maritime history through historical reenactors and harbor cruises on ships, dory's and boats.


9.  Paddle  for Plummer

Where: 37 Winter Island Road, Salem, MA
When: July 7, 2018


Paddle for Plummer is an annual event held by Plummer Youth Promise to raise support for their organization. Enjoy music, food, waterfront spin classes, SUP yoga, and the main event; paddle board race. Located directly on the beach this exciting event is all fun in the sun!


10.  Swampscott by the Sea Summer Series

Where: Swampscott Town Hall – 22 Monument Avenue, Swampscott, MA
When: Wednesday Evenings throughout Summer


Join the annual summer tradition every Wednesday night for live music and fun for all ages. The Swampscott By the Sea Summer Concert Series is a chance for the community to come together and enjoy an awesome array of live music. This year's genres range from Rock, Jazz, Latin, R&B, and more!
